Bernabéu Sky by Cirque du Soleil is a walk-through experience on the tenth floor of the Santiago Bernabéu, opening the stadium's new Bernabéu Skywalk. Visitors move on foot through six themed spaces inspired by KURIOS, one of Cirque du Soleil's most acclaimed productions, with 360-degree views of Madrid along the way.

What it is

The route is self-paced and has no guide. Each of the six stages changes the surroundings: an accordion tunnel, a walk among clouds, an electric forest and an underwater tunnel are among the settings, and characters from the KURIOS universe appear along the way to interact with visitors.

The walk ends at the Sky Bar, dressed up as a railway station. Visitors can order a drink and take a seat for a short live performance of around five minutes, which changes over the run. Seating is only available here, so the rest of the visit is on foot.

It is not a full Cirque du Soleil performance. The Bernabéu, Cirque du Soleil and Fever have joined forces for the first time on this project, and the visit lasts around 30 minutes.

Why it's worth it

The setting is the main distinguishing feature: level 10 of one of Madrid's best-known landmarks, newly opened as a visitor space and turned into a themed route rather than a plain lookout. No prior knowledge of KURIOS is needed, as the walk is designed to stand on its own. It also admits all ages, with a reduced ticket for children aged 4 to 13 and access for baby prams.

Practical info

Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable, and late entry is not allowed, so arrive at the time on the ticket. The visit mixes outdoor stretches with a covered live act, and there is no dress code, so casual clothes are fine. Drinks are sold at the Sky Bar but not food, and there is no cloakroom or car park. Strobe lights are used. Photos are welcome, but professional equipment and tripods are not.

FAQ

Is Bernabéu Sky the same as the KURIOS show?
No. Bernabéu Sky is a 30-minute walk through six KURIOS-inspired spaces on level 10 of the stadium, with a short live act at the Sky Bar. It is not a seated circus performance. The full KURIOS production is a separate show, staged under a Big Top in Casa de Campo.

How long does the Bernabéu Skywalk experience take?
About 30 minutes at your own pace, according to the official site, while Fever gives 30 to 45 minutes. It finishes with a live act of around five minutes at the Sky Bar, where seats are available.

Can children go to Bernabéu Sky by Cirque du Soleil?
Yes, all ages are welcome and the space is accessible for baby prams. General tickets are for visitors aged 14 and over, children aged 4 to 13 have a reduced ticket, and a group or family rate applies when buying four or more tickets together.

Is Bernabéu Sky accessible for wheelchair users?
Yes, the venue is wheelchair accessible. The organiser notes that the experience could not be adapted for visitors with visual or hearing impairments, that strobe lights are used, and that seating is only available during the live act at the Sky Bar.

Can I buy tickets at the door for Bernabéu Sky?
Yes, there is a box office on site, but sessions can sell out, so booking ahead through Fever is recommended. Tickets are non-transferable and all sales are final, with no refunds, exchanges or changes. Group bookings start from six people.
